Starting with Chinese classical music, several songs played in the concert were rearranged with the mode alternation and the dynamic of rhythm. The new forms of saxophone plus elocnte and saxophone plus sitcom all attracted the attention of the audiences.

 

4’33’’ Saxophone Chamber Orchestra was jointly founded by Dr. Wang Youwei and Director Wu Shixiang from the Music Department of Lishui University on October 27, 2016. Most members of the orchestra are students from Lomonosov Moscow State University of Russia and Lishui University.

 

 

In this concert, the orchestra played the song Jasmine which was famous all over the world, Suite for Xinjiang that showed the scenery of Mount Tianshan, Human World that had similar name as the annual famous drama, and I’m Waiting for You in the Book together with a passionate elocnte.

 

 

Through the dialogue and integration between Chinese songs and Western orchestral music, the concert vividly demonstrated the mutual tolerance, mutual communication and mutual learning between Chinese and Western musical cultures, and was also a bold cross-border integration of library and music, comprehensively demonstrating the rich and diverse saxophone playing skills, and raising people's understanding of saxophone music with a number of contemporary works. This concert also allowed the audiences to experience the beauty of saxophone, to learn more about saxophone knowledge and to love saxophone after the show.
