The New Zhejiang Library Receives International Acclaim with Congratulations from Global Librarians

On the occasion of the official opening of the new Zhejiang Library, esteemed international figures in the library community have extended their warm wishes through congratulatory videos. Notable well-wishers include Barbara Lison, former President of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), Vadim Duda, Director of the Russian State Library, and Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in Egypt.
 
The congratulatory messages highlight the significance of Zhejiang Library's new chapter and the global recognition it has garnered. Barbara Lison expressed her joy and anticipation for the positive impact the new library will have on the lives, work, and studies of many individuals. Last year, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Alexandria Library and Zhejiang Library, marking a crucial step in their collaboration. Both libraries, with vast digital collections and a commitment to preserving unique history and culture, are poised to share knowledge and experiences in library science, information management, and digitization. The collaboration is expected to encompass research projects, educational and training programs, public initiatives, and digital preservation projects.
 
 
In addition, Zhejiang Library also received blessings from library experts from France, the United States, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and other countries.
