From October 1 to 7, Zhejiang Library and Zhejiang Collection Association jointly organized the exhibition of reform and opening up themed with “History of Zhejiang via Collections Exhibition”, which attracted a lot of .
The exhibition demonstrated the leading spirit of Zhejiang during the reform and opening up. For example, the first sole traders in China appeared in Wenzhou, and the “private industry and commerce Business License” issued by the Wenzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce and numbered “Business Certificate No. 10101” was the first license issued for sole traders in China. The exhibition also depicted the stories happening in Zhejiang during reform and opening up, such as the implementation of the household contract responsibility system in Hangzhou, the price reform after Mokanshan's conference, and the story about of a large plant by Wahaha’s collective small factory, etc. In the exhibition, the evolution and landscape change of Hangzhou during reform and opening up were also displayed. In the ten showcases, Hangzhou’s urban map, matchbox, food coupon, grain card, various communication equipment including brick phones and phones, old movie posters other old objects were presented.
In the exhibition, the hall and the washing corner of the old street were built, so that the readers could be immersed into the life of the people in the early days of reform and opening up. There were domestic items displayed in the exhibition, such as luggage, bicycles, sewing machines and thermos bottles, televisions, radios, electric fans, etc.
