Schools with tea fragrance– “Hang Neng Cup” tea culture themed calligraphy exhibition for primary and secondary school teachers and students in Zhejia

Tea is a national drink, and the book is a national art. In order to promote the permeation of tea culture into the school and cultivate young people's interest in tea culture, the China International Tea Culture Research Association sponsored Schools with Tea Fragrance– a tea culture themed calligraphy exhibition for primary and secondary school teachers and students in Zhejiang Province, which was jointly hosted by Zhejiang Library, Holding Group and China International Tea Culture, Painting Calligraphy Institute.

At on September 30, the leaders and guests were presented in the first floor of Zhejiang Library to unveil the “Schools with Tea Fragrance”, a tea culture themed calligraphy exhibition.

Sun Zhonghuan, Chairman of Hangzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC and Executive Vice President of China International Tea Culture Research Association, gave an opening speech. He mentioned that for thousands of years, Chinese tea has flourished from China to the world, from the past to the present, and to the future, relying on the power of cultural connotation. Chinese tea culture was a concrete manifestation of the excellent traditional culture of China, so did the Chinese calligraphy art. The calligraphy, with its profound accumulation and rich deposit, nourished the Chinese civilization. The expression, promotion compliment of Chinese tea by teachers and students of primary and secondary schools in the form of Chinese calligraphy art, as well as the display of calligraphy art and edification of Chinese tea was more than a way to cultivate the cultural accomplishment of young people, but a good approach to enrich the essence of tea as a national drink, and benefit from tea and culture.

In his speech, Xiao Feng, former Dean of China Academy of Art, Dean of Painting and Calligraphy Academy of China International Tea Culture Research Association, and famous painter and calligrapher, praised the combination of calligraphy art with tea culture. He hoped that the diversified culture would be carried forward to the world through the efforts of generations.

The works in this exhibition all the five general styles of calligraphy. Its various styles and varied colors are both inherited and innovative, as an organic combination of tea culture with calligraphy art, which fully reflects the in-depth understanding of the traditional culture by teachers and students of primary and secondary schools in our province.

The following persons also attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition, including Zhou Guofu, Chairman of the 9th Zhejiang Committee of CPPCC and President of China International Tea Culture Research Association, He Guanxin, Vice Chairman of Hangzhou Municipal Committee of CPPCC, President of Hangzhou Tea Culture Research Association, Li Jianying, Vice-Curator of Zhejiang Library, Zhu Xiaobo, Chairman of Group Co., Ltd., and Song Tao, Executive Dean of Painting and Calligraphy Academy of China International Tea Culture Research Association and famous calligrapher.
