Main content: Chinese operas, as a treasure of our national culture, contain within them a long and splendid Chinese civilization. Zhejiang is the cradle of Chinese opera, as the first of their kind - the Nanxi Opera, was born in Rui’an, Zhejiang. As a province with a long tradition of operas, Zhejiang is rich in opera resources with a wide variety of opera genres and a large number of talented performers.

This exhibition is divided into three parts: the basic knowledge of Chinese operas, the evolution of traditional operas in Zhejiang Province, and the traditional operas in the intangible cultural heritage of Zhejiang Province.
