Since ancient times, many temples have been built in Hangzhou, and Hangzhou has a reputation as a “Southeast Buddhist country”. The natural landscape of Hangzhou contains rich Buddhist cultural elements. The painters of all ages recorded these with their hands. With the change of history, many Buddhist architectures have changed, and ancient paintings have become an important carrier for us to explore historical remains. What did the Leifeng Pagoda look like in Southern Song Dynasty? How many layers are there in the Baochu Pagoda during Ming and Qing Dynasties? The lecturer will lead the audience to pursue the history of Hangzhou Buddhist culture from the eyes of ancient painters.
