IFLA President Ms. Xinika ? Sipila make a report to the Zhejiang Library

July 11 morning, Ms. Xinika• Sipila IFLA accepted an invitation to make a report to our library. Report entitled "wind and waves or drift?- Bring you insight" IFLA Trends Report "." Report by the Zhejiang Library, Institute of Zhejiang Province, jointly organized by the library. More than 300 librarians from libraries across the province public libraries, university libraries, research systems participated in the report. Report will be presided over by the Zhejiang Librarian Xu Xiaojun.

79th IFLA General Conference released August 19, 2013 "IFLA Trends Report", designed to challenge concerns the impact libraries and technology to social development for the library brings. At the meeting, the President Sipila elaborated "IFLA Trend Report" in the background and process of parsing the development of libraries in five important trends, one new technology is double-edged sword, to increase or restrict people to information ability to obtain; two online educational change and even subvert the traditional mode of education; Third privacy and data protection boundaries will be redefined; four are highly interconnected societies will listen new voices, gathered new strength; five is new technology changing the world information economy. She also proposed a new technology challenges facing the library how to deal with the problem, thought-provoking, and called on all librarians to IFLA as a platform, positive suggestions to make "IFLA Trends Report" to constantly improve.
