Vice-governor Zheng Jiwei came to do survey and research

On November 27^th, Vice-governor Zheng Jiwei came to do survey and research of service of public culture and construction of new building, and accompanied by Assistant secretary of provincial government Ma linyun, Head of culture department of province Jin Xingsheng, Director of education of clerical office of province government Lv Weiqiang, director of office of province culture department Liu He, director of department of public culture Dai Yan, etc.
Zheng Jiwei’s party visited newspaper reading rooms, information service center, barrier–free service center of visually impaired information of Zhejiang province, rare edition reading room, rare edition stack room, open-shelf book lending room, saving book stack room, news desk, digital resource center, extension division of reader activity (exhibition center), etc. in sequence. They heared introduction while asked about reader reception capacity, reader’s group distribution, utilization situation of digital source, demands of visually impaired users, situation of library utilization, protection situation of ancient book literatures, building of library literature, etc. in detail and communicated with readers.
After visited on the spot, Zheng Jiwei had a close talk with leadership of library. He required that the literature building, service content, and service method must be closely integrated with demand of readers. For new building, he pointed out that with the development of the society, the needs of multitude for library and culture to increase daily, the boom of information made library faced a great change and opportunity. Currently, digitization was an irresistible trend; to establish digital library could achieve resource sharing and this was highly significant. He hoped Zhejiang Library grasped the library developmental trend of future, based on future while the process of established new building, had a orientation of forward-looking, a definitive function layout of the old and new building, the old building should be adjusting out more area, did better and tighten the face to face service for readers, the new one should be faced future, did well of technique lead and service support, provided more quality, efficient and convenient for the broad masses of the people.
