The Chinese seal database of famous people through the ages had beenedited by Zhejiang Library which editor-in-chief is Daxiong Zhao, programmer is Ye Chen. It will be issued DVD-ROM by Zhejing Electronics Audio & Video Publisher in the end of this year. This database included 2192 Chinese famous people, 35601 Chinese seals. Each seal had translation, origin, made from scanning its life-size in 600 pixels; and its schema was divided into two types with big and small. The database can make intelligent retrieval according to whole article, name of people, native place, times, brief introduction, name of ancient library, and translation of seals.
