On August 2nd morning, 2010, volunteer action of Library Society of China and curator training course of public libraries in Zhejiang province were held at Cixi Hotel, Cixi city. The leaders attending the open ceremony include: Tang gengsheng, secretary-general of Library Society of China, Liu hiuping, deputy director of National Cultural Information Resources Construction Management Center of Ministry of Culture, Li guoxing, standing deputy director of Academic Committee of Library Society of China, professor of Department of Information Management of Peking University, headman of Zhejiang Branch Volunteer Action of Library Society of China, Chen yao, deputy director of Zhejiang Culture Department, the chairman of Library Society in Zhejiang province, Dai nanzhang, vice mayor of Cixi City, Zhang bochuang, chief of Cultural, Broadcasting and News Publication Bureau of Cixi City. 110 curators coming from public libraries in Zhejiang province attended the training.
The open ceremony was presided by Zhu Haimin who is curator of Zhejiang Library. Dai nanzhang, vice mayor of Cixi city, delivered the welcome speech. Tang gengsheng, secretary-general of Library Society of China, was commissioned by Zhan furui, the chairman of Library Society of China, secretary of the party committee and deputy curator of National Library of China. He congratulated the training course on behalf of Library Society of China and National Library of China. Then, Liu huiping addressed on behalf of National Cultural Information Resources Construction Management Center of Ministry of Culture. She emphasized the importance of cooperation between Cultural Information Resources Sharing Project and work of basic level library. The cooperation will speed up the electronization and networking service of basic level library, greatly enrich the digital resources of basic level library, promote extensive cooperation among nationwide public cultural service units, strengthen collaborative relationships among brotherly libraries that they complement each other and rely on each other and obtain superiority of networking cooperation. Ms. Liu also gave the objective of the National Cultural Resources Sharing Project in the twelfth Five-year Plan.
Finally, Chen yao expressed thanks to the expert volunteers. She introduced the achievements of the public library of Zhejiang province, posed the challenges of public library development in Zhejiang province, hoped curators coming from basic level library to take full advantage of this rare opportunity to learn new knowledge, new technologies, new ideas, new methods and advanced management experience brought by experts and to improve personal attributes. At the same time, she hoped that curators run through valuable experience and  knowledge to course of library work and make positive contribution to development of library and the construction of public cultural service system of Zhejiang province.
