The study event will last from July 5 to July 30, during which readers will be permitted to borrow both the Chinese and English versions of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” (Volume I) from the digital library of Zhejiang Library. Readers can read both versions by logging on the official website of Zhejiang Library and finding the page from https://zjlib.overdrive China.cn in the digital resource column or following the official WeChat No. of Zhejiang Library and then participating in the “21-day reading plan”. The WeChat subscription account of Zhejiang Library will also invite senior experts to select a number of sentences from the English translation of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” every day for 21 consecutive days for analysis starting from July 5 for the readers. The paper and electronic book promotion activities themed with “Treasure Library — The National Belief · The 98th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party” will be held at the special bookshelf of the Circulating Department of the second floor of Zhejiang Library.

(I) 21-day Reading Plan — Study of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China”
Time: From July 5, 2019 to July 25, 2019
Location: Online (WeChat Account No. of Zhejiang Library)
Users can participate in the study of the English version of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China” (Volume 1) in the “21-Day Reading” column on the “Zhejiang Library” WeChat Account No., write down book review messages and share it in Circle of Friends. During the event, they can choose one piece of message of their own they are most satisfied with for prize-giving appraisal.
1. Credits-obtaining Rules
(1) Participants who sign up for the event will get 100 credits and 1 credit for daily check-in (one time per day);
(2) 1 credit will be awarded for sharing the check-in page in the Circle of Friends and having 1 page view, and the maximum credits for each check-in page shared shall not be over 10 credits;
(3) Additional 10 credits and the “Assistant Researcher” medal will be awarded for accumulated check-in of more than one time, sharing of messages, uploading pictures and recording; additional 20 credits and the “Associate Researcher” medal will be awarded for accumulated check-in of more than 7 times, sharing of messages, uploading pictures and recording; additional 50 credits and the “Senior Researcher” medal will be awarded for accumulated check-in of more than 21 times, sharing of messages, uploading pictures and recording.
2. Requirements for Works for Appraisal
Book review (within 1,000 words)
Works to be solicited should be book reviews based on the study of both the Chinese and English versions of “Xi Jinping: The Governance of China”, with the clear and innovative theme, written in fluent language and based on facts. They shall show positive attitude, be with healthy content and original, and plagiarizing other people’s works in any form is strictly prohibited.
3. Ways of Submitting Works
Follow the WeChat Account No. of “Zhejiang Library”, click “Reading” - “21-Day Reading Plan” — leave a message, write down the book review, and then click “Work Appraisal” — “I want to participate in” to select a book review you are most satisfied with for appraisal.
4. Appraisal and Recognition
After the solicitation, the organizer will invite relevant experts to review all the works, and then select three excellent ones. The work ranking the first (limited to book review of the English edition) will be recommended to “The World of English” for publication. The top three will be awarded the following prizes.
The first place: an award-winning certificate and a tablet-like reader;
The second place: an award-winning certificate and a WIFI speaker;
The third place: an award-winning certificate and a pair of sports headphones.
(II) Treasure Library — The National Belief · The 98th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party

Location: Off-line (open-shelf Literature Circulating Department on the second floor)
Profile: readers are recommended to participate in the study through “Treasure Library” on the official WeChat No., “Online Reading” column of the official website and off-line open-shelf Circulating Department of the Library at Shuguang Road.
