Introduction to the lecturer:

Ye Genyou, founder of Ye Genyou’s font series, signed calligrapher of Alibaba Taiji Chanyuan, his Ye Genyou Font, with more than 100 different styles of calligraphy fonts, has been highly praised by computer users. The famous Ye Genyou brush running script, blade black grass script, traditional characters in running script, and silkworm swallow clerical script are widely popular.

His calligraphy art has been reported and covered by major media at home and abroad. He has visited more than ten countries and regions including Australia, the United States, and France. And his works have been praised and collected by celebrities. In 2014, Ye Genyou's calligraphy work “Dream” was designated by the Central Civilization Office as the official font in national publicity posters. In November 2015, he wrote a calligraphy work for Alibaba, “让天下没有难做的生意” (Let the world have no hard-to-do business). Jack Ma and the envoys of 39 countries in the world signed the long scroll, and now he is a signed calligrapher of Alibaba Taiji Chanyuan. In 2018, he published a platform for font editors and the brand of “Nan Gou Zi Ku” in Taiji Chanyuan.

Calligraphy is an eternal theme of the Chinese national culture. Calligraphy can be beautiful, and it can be very vivid to help you express your ideas. It can be a practical tool of symbols, or it can be a medium for expressing feelings in work life, or a unique work of art with special values. Our guest lecturer Mr. Ye Genyou will discuss the relationship between calligraphy and design with you so that more people can have a knowledge about the art of calligraphy.
